ARM YOUR FRIENDS is a company founded on the belief that a strong, diverse, and motivated community can endure anything. Our mission is to cultivate a multidisciplinary community where individuals unite to share knowledge, experiences, time, and resources, with the goal of enhancing each other’s lives and ensuring mutual safety. We protect ourselves. We keep each other safe. Together, we will build the future.
So since re-launching this year in February, we haven't really talked about about what we do - we kind of took for granted that everyone would kind of see what we're trying to do but we updated the mission statement for the website, and we're gonna repeat it along with every release and range day announcement to avoid confusion.
First, Arm Your Friends is for everyone. Our goal is to be inclusive and to bring new people into the world of self-defense and community defense.
Also, why this theme?
Objectives
- Encourage non-firearm owners to purchase their first striker-fired pistol, kydex holster, and red dot optic, and to attend a beginner-friendly range day.
- Train as many people as possible in the Greater Houston Area in the Stop the Bleed program. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call to action. It is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
- Raise funds for Food Not Bombs through its fiscal sponsor, the Houston Peace and Justice Center, and inspire others to serve as well.
